The Itty Bitty Litter Committee (IBLC) is a side project of the FoJS, kicking off at the Community Clean Up on October 1 and planning to end with a clean up event and celebration in the Spring.
The IBLC encourages all of our school friends and families to commit to picking up litter all year. “Itty Bitty” isn’t necessarily about the size of the participant; it is about how a little bit each day goes a long way.
Where can you pick up litter?
In your neighborhood
To and from school
Out and about in our city
Anywhere you are!
Reminders:
Bring along a bag to collect your litter
Empty trash findings into trashcans
Separate recycling into recycling bins
Want to Join our Itty Bitty Litter Committee?
Our IBLC button badges (see left) are to remind us all that a little bit each day goes a long way.
Join us at a FoJS Event and you can sign your family up for a recommended donation of at least $5, pledging your commitment to picking up litter wherever you see a need, and get an IBLC button.
The Itty Bitty Litter Committee Pledge:
I pledge to keep our streets pretty as I pick up trash around our City.
A few pieces each day is plenty, you'll see, for we are the Itty Bitty Litter Committee.
